Care Quality Commission (CQC)

The Care Quality Commission is an independent regulator of all health and adult social care services in England, whose job is to make sure that care provided meets government standards of quality and safety.

The government standards cover all aspects of care, including:

  • treating people with dignity and respect
  • making sure care, treatment and support meets people's needs
  • making sure that the environment is clean and safe
  • managing and staffing services

WMAS Trust is fully compliant with its registration requirements under the Health and Social Care Act 2012.  External assurance of compliance was received in November 2011 following a CQC review of our service.
