A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after an RTC in Warwickshire this morning.
The incident occurred on Birmingham Road, near to Hatton Locks, Hatton, at around 9.10am. An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a senior officer, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance with a Doctor on Board attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A motorcycle and a pickup truck had been in a serious collision.
“The senior officer was first clinician on scene, and found the police in attendance administering excellent first aid. The officer immediately took over treatment and was joined by a passing cyclist, who was an off duty paramedic from Birmingham.
“The biker suffered multiple serious injuries in the crash, including serious arm and suspected pelvic injuries. The man, in his 40’s, also suffered a serious neck laceration.
“He received further emergency treatment at the scene and his condition as stabilised. The man was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.
“The hospital had been pre alerted to the mans arrival and serious injuries.
“No other person was injured in the crash.”
