ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION – M6 TOLL

A woman has been flown to hospital after the car she was driving
overturned on the M6 Toll in Staffordshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the northbound
carriageway between junctions T4 and T5 shortly after 10.35am
today.
Two rapid response vehicles, a BASICS Emergency Doctor, an
ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford in
Shropshire attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The woman, in
her forties, had a broken arm and chest injuries.
“She was given pain relief at the scene and was immobilised with
the use of a spinal board and neck collar.
“Her condition was monitored en-route to Queen Elizabeth
Hospital Birmingham.”
