CAR V BUS

Wednesday 4th November – 5.25pm – Suzie Fothergill

Four people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Walsall today.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident on Walker Road in Bloxwich shortly after 3pm this afternoon.

Four ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were dispatched to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crew found a car that had been in collision with a bus.

“The car was carrying two occupants at the time of the incident, both the driver, a man believed to be in his 20’s and the passenger, a 19 year old man, were spinal boarded as a pre caution before being conveyed to Walsall Manor hospital.

“Two passengers from the bus were also treated on scene. One man believed to be in his 50’s was treated for whiplash injuries and a second man, believed to be in his 40’s, was treated for a head injury.

“Both men were conveyed to the same hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
