One man is in a critical condition after a car that he was in left the road and collided with a tree in the Kingstanding area of Birmingham.
The crash happened on College Road at around 9.05pm last night, Wednesday.
An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, an incident support officer and a BASICS Emergency Doctor were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “There were two men travelling in the Porsche when it collided with a tree. The driver was out of the vehicle when crews arrived and was unhurt.
“The passenger, a man estimated to be in his 30s and from the local area was trapped. Ambulance crews worked with firefighters to extract the man while he was being treated.
“The man had multiple injuries. Due to his condition, the doctor anaesthetised him at the scene. He was taken on blue lights with a police escort and the doctor travelling on the ambulance to City Hospital where medics were on standby for his arrival.
“His condition on arrival was described as life threatening.”
