THREE VEHICLE RTC

A man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic
collision on the M6.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident at
junction 11, Northbound on the M6 shortly after 7.10pm this evening
(Thursday)
Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were dispatched to
the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival
at the scene crews found two lanes of the motorway blocked
following a three vehicle RTC. A lorry and two cars had been in
collision, with one of the cars having overturned.
“The driver of the overturned vehicle was treated on scene for a
minor injury to his head and was suffering from back pain. The man
was immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar before being
conveyed to University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further
assessment and treatment.
“The drivers of the lorry and the second car were assessed on
scene but had suffered no injuries.”
