HSE EMERGENCY
FIRST AID AT WORK
1 day Course

Even in small, low hazard
organisations, where first aid is not seen as a priority, there is
always the possibility of an accident or sudden
illness. Therefore it is important that someone is
always available.
An Emergency First Aider will
undertake 6 hours of basic training, which concentrates on:-
- Taking charge when someone is injured
or ill, including calling an ambulance if required
- Looking after the first aid
equipment, e.g. restocking the first aid box
Arrangements should be made for an
Emergency First Aider to be available to undertake these duties at
all times when people are at work.
At the end of the course the student
