Anyone over the age of 16 and living in the area served by the Trust can become a member of the Foundation Trust. Employees of the Trust (subject to certain conditions) are automatically members of the Foundation Trust unless they choose to opt out. As a member, you can be involved as little or as much as you choose and in a variety of different ways.
What it means
Members will receive newsletters throughout the year, via their email address, which will include current news, Trust projects and initiatives. Members will also be informed of other activities such as Care Quality Commission visits or reports as and when required.
Any members wishing to be more active may want to consider standing for election as a Governor (link to Council of Governors page). All members have the opportunity to vote over who represents them as a Governor on the Council of Governors. The Council works closely with the Trust Board (link to about the Board page) representing members views, contributing ideas and advice as well as providing a link with our communities.
Useful links
There are several publications, which update you with the latest news about the Trust and activities that our staff has been involved with. These can be found within our Publications (link to Publications page) or within the News section of the website.
