A man has died following a collision involving a motorbike and a van this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident on Warwick Road, Acocks Green at 06.55am and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find motorcyclist in a critical condition. They quickly began administering advanced life support and advanced trauma care to him.
“Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.
“The driver of the van did not require treatment.”
