A man has sadly died after drowning in Ensor’s Pool in Nuneaton yesterday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called by Warwickshire Police at 12.19pm on Sunday (17th August) to reports of a man who was missing in the water. Two paramedic officers, HART paramedics, an ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “HART paramedics worked closely with Warwickshire Fire and Rescue colleagues to search the water whilst the remaining team worked on shore to assist with the search.
“After recovering the man from the water, sadly nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased on scene.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man at this truly distressing time.”
