A man has sustained serious injuries following a collision on the M6 in Walsall on Sunday evening.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a collision involving two HGV’s on the M6 between junctions 10a and 10 in Walsall at 11.51pm last night (Sunday). One ambulance, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found a man who was the driver of the first HGV. He was extricated from the vehicle by the fire service.
“Once extricated, he was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained serious injuries. Ambulance staff delivered advanced trauma care to him at the scene.
“He was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.
“No further patients required treatment.”
