One man has died and a woman has been taken to hospital following a Road Traffic Collision in Birmingham, this morning (Monday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Lancaster Street and Lancaster Circus at 2.38am. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support. Sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A woman was also treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital under emergency driving conditions.”
