A cyclist was seriously injured and airlifted to a major trauma centre after a road traffic collision in Willenhall yesterday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Crescent Road, Willenhall at 4.21pm on Tuesday (21st July). Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a Midlands Air Ambulance responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a cyclist, a man, who had been involved in a collision with a car. An off duty nurse was caring for the man who was in a serious condition. The team of ambulance staff worked to administer advanced trauma care to him to stabilise his condition before airlifting him to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency care.”
