A Man Has Died in Handsworth Following Assault

A man has died following an assault in Handsworth, last night (Thursday 23^rd).

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 9.39pm to Birchfield Road and sent three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the WMAS Critical Care Car to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a man in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support. Sadly, despite best efforts nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
