A boy has been seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a van whilst riding a scooter this morning in Redditch.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Church Road, Webheath in Redditch at 10.47am earlier today (Monday). An ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma team responded to the incident.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find bystanders caring for a boy who had reportedly been riding a scooter when a van collided with him. Ambulance staff assessed the boy and found he had sustained serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care on scene before being conveyed by land ambulance on blue lights and sirens to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for further emergency care.”
