A child has sustained serious injuries following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Alum Rock yesterday (Thursday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called shortly after 6pm to Pelham Road, Alum Rock in Birmingham. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found a girl who was the pedestrian. He was assessed and had sustained serious injuries. She received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Birmingham Childrens Hospital for further treatment.”
