One man has sadly died, and six other people have been injured after a car collided with a building in Tipton last night.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to High Street, Princes End, Tipton at 10.20pm yesterday evening to reports of a car which had collided with a building.
Six ambulances, three paramedic officers, a critical care car, HART paramedics and a MERIT trauma team responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a car which had been involved in a collision with a building.
“The driver, a man, was in a critical condition. He received advanced life support on scene but was sadly confirmed deceased by ambulance staff a short time later.
“A woman passenger sustained serious injuries and ambulance crews administered trauma care before she was conveyed to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. Two boys from the car sustained minor injuries and were conveyed in the same ambulance to hospital.
“Two girls from the car suffered potentially serious injuries and received trauma care from the team of medics before both were taken on blue lights and sirens to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for further care.
“A man, believed to be a passing cyclist, sustained minor injuries. He was assessed on scene and advised to attend A&E. He was discharged on scene by ambulance staff before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital by police officers.”
