Four people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision involving a HGV, a van and multiple cars on the M40 between junction 12 and 13, northbound and southbound, last night (Tuesday 4th).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 7.42pm to the M40 in Chesterton and Kingston and sent five ambulances, two paramedic officers and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Critical Care Car to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found six patients. A man and a woman were treated for serious injuries, and both were conveyed under emergency driving conditions to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
“A second man was treated for potentially serious injuries, and a third man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
“Two further people did not wish to be assessed.”
