A man has died following an RTC on the M6 in the early hours of this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a single-car RTC on the northbound carriageway of the M6, near to junction 7, at 12.28am. Two ambulances, ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor, with a critical care paramedic, attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered a car that had crashed into a motorway barrier.
“There was one patient, a man, who had suffered serious injuries in the incident.
“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support which continued enroute to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
“However, shortly after arrival at hospital it sadly became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased.”
