A man has died following a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a motorbike in Curdworth, Sutton Coldfield, on Tuesday evening.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a road traffic collision at the junction of Lichfield Road and Marsh Lane, shortly after 9pm. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival, ambulance staff found a man who was the motorcyclist in a critical condition. They administered advanced life support and advanced trauma care to him.
“Despite their best efforts, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
“The driver of the lorry did not require treatment.”
