A motorcyclist seriously injured in Stratford-upon-Avon this afternoon received advance trauma care from ambulance staff before being conveyed to a major trauma centre.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received several 999 calls reporting a collision involving a car and a motorcycle at around 1.00pm today on the junction of Ingon Lane and Warwick Road. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The motorcyclist, a man, was being cared for by police when ambulance staff arrived on scene. Upon assessment they found he had sustained multiple serious injuries in the collision. He was given advanced trauma care and his condition stabilised before he was conveyed by land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.”
