Claire Brown – 18th December 2025 – 8.40am.
One man has been airlifted to a major trauma centre following a single car collision in Staffordshire yesterday afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Buxton Road, Upper Hulme, Leek at 3.37pm on Wednesday 17th December. Three ambulances, a paramedic officer and a Midlands Air Ambulance responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find a car which had left the road and was in a field. The three occupants, all men, were assessed. One man, a passenger, sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and received trauma care by the team of ambulance staff before being airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further emergency care.
“The driver and second passenger sustained less serious injuries and were treated on scene before being taken, by land ambulance, to the same hospital for further checks.”
