A serious RTC in East Shropshire has left a man needing trauma care in hospital last night.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a serious RTC on the B4176, Upper Ludstone at 5.12pm last night. Two ambulances, three paramedic officers and the Midlands Air Ambulance responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find two cars which had been involved in a significant collision. The driver of one car, a man, was trapped and in a serious condition. He was rapidly extricated with help from fire colleagues and given advanced trauma care by the team of medics to stabilise his condition. The man was taken by land ambulance on blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency care.
“The driver of the second car, a man, was less seriously injured. He was given treatment on scene before being conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital for further checks.”
