Four people have been treated by West Midland Ambulance Service after a three car RTC in Burton upon Trent this afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Needwood Street and Byrkley Street, Burton upon Trent at 3.22pm today (Tuesday) following reports of a three car RTC.
Three ambulances, two paramedic officers and a Midlands Air Ambulance responded to the scene. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance staff arrived to find the driver of one car, a woman, in a serious condition. She received trauma care on scene before being conveyed by land ambulance on blue lights. Air ambulance medics travelled with the woman to provide additional trauma care enroute to Royal Derby Hospital.
“The driver of a second car, a man, was given treatment by ambulance staff on scene for non-serious injuries before being taken to Burton Queens Hospital.
“A woman from a parked car, involved in the collision, was assessed after suffering minor injuries but was discharged on scene.
“A third woman, a bystander who witnessed the incident, suffered a medical episode and was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
