A man has died following a collision involving a van and a lorry yesterday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident on Alcester Road, Kington at 4.51pm and sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a community first responder and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene. An off-duty paramedic also stopped to offer assistance at the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find the van driver, a man, trapped inside his vehicle in a critical condition. He was already receiving medical attention from an off-duty paramedic.
“Ambulance crews worked alongside colleagues from the fire service to try and free the man whilst providing treatment at the same time.
“Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts it became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
