A teenage boy has sustained potentially life-threatening injures following reports of a shooting in Bordesley Green yesterday (Wednesday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Bowyer Road and St Saviours Road in Saltley shortly before 5.30pm and sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer, the WMAS critical care car and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival, ambulance staff discovered a teenage boy being cared for by bystanders. He was assessed and had sustained potentially life-threatening injuries.
“He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to hospital via land for further treatment.”
