Following the work of the Trust’s critical care paramedics and doctors who work on the Major Emergency Response Intervention Team (MERIT) as well as staff at Midlands Air Ambulance and Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance. Ambulance Code Red follows the teams as they attend some of the most seriously injured and ill patients in the region.
The programme looks at cases ranging from cardiac arrests, to serious RTCs, industrial accidents, horse riding injuries to an elderly woman who suffered an horrendous leg injury from simply tripping up. Their expert clinical skills provide patients with the most advanced out of hospital critical care which, for some, can make the difference between life or death.
