Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, members of the public can find out information about how public services, such as the NHS are organised, financed and run.
This website is designed to give as much information as possible about the Trust, its staff and its services. If the information you require is not accessible on our website or that of another organisation, you can make a Freedom of Information request on our FOI Request page, or by emailing [email protected].
Your request can only be processed if it is clearly stated what information it is that you require and a contact name and a postal or email address to enable us to forward our reply to. Once these details have been received, we may invite you to view the information or we will send you a copy.
To assist you in looking for information, the Trust has produced a Publication Scheme (link to publication scheme please) (a guide to information) in accordance with requirements issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
While the Trust is committed to publish information, the Act does provide a number of exclusions where it would be inappropriate to provide certain information; these are know as exemptions. This means that sometimes we won’t provide all of the data that you asked for. For example, some information may be exempt under the General Data Protection Regulations 2016 and Data Protection Act 2018. Equally, it could be that the information you requested is commercially confidential. Where this is the case, we will let you know the exemption we are using to withhold the information.
Charging for Publication
We will provide you with the information you have requested, up to 20 working days after we received your request. Where this is not possible, we will tell you why. Although the information can usually be provided free of charge, in some instances this may not be possible. Payment must be received before the information can be retrieved however this will be communicated to you at the time of the request.
Copyright
The material available through the Publication Scheme is subject to West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust copyright, unless otherwise indicated. Unless expressly indicated on the material to the contrary, it may be reproduced free of charge in any format or medium, provided it is reproduced accurately and not used in a misleading manner. Where any of the copyright items in this Scheme are being re-published or copied to others, you must identify the source of the material and acknowledge the copyright status. Permission to reproduce material does not extend to any material accessed through the Publication Scheme that is the copyright of third parties. You must obtain authorisation to reproduce such material from the copyright holders concerned.
