One man has died and a woman has been taken to hospital in a serious condition following a road traffic collision involving a car and two pedestrians, this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 11.17am to Soho Road in Birmingham and sent three ambulances, two paramedic officers and the WMAS Critical Care Car to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found a man, a pedestrian, in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support. Sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A woman, also a pedestrian, was treated for serious injuries before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital under emergency driving conditions.”
