A man has died after a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Leek late yesterday afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 5.46pm to the junction of Selbourne Road and Cheddleton Road and sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and a North Staffordshire BASICS doctor to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found bystanders administering good CPR and a defibrillator had been applied to a man, the pedestrian, in cardiac arrest.
“Ambulance staff immediately administered advanced life support but, sadly, it quickly became clear he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.”
