A man has been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle collision in Burton on Trent yesterday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 4.49pm to the A38 Northbound between Branston and Clay Mills near Shobnall and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and The Air Ambulance Service from Nottingham to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found five vehicles had been involved in a collision.
“One patient, a man, was removed from his vehicle with the assistance of fire crews.
“He was treated by ambulance staff for potentially serious, but not life-threatening, injuries before being conveyed via land to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.
“Four other patients were assessed but were not injured.”
