Our Faith and Spiritual Wellbeing Team are made up of four volunteer chaplains from Muslim, Sikh, Christian and Jewish faiths who are on hand to provide a listening ear, grounded in empathy and understanding, without judgement and with complete respect for your beliefs and values.
Whether our staff and volunteers are facing a personal challenge, coping with a bereavement or need to talk about a difficult 999 call they’ve answered or responded to, our chaplains offer a safe, confidential, and compassionate space.
Imam Mohammad Asad is the Trust’s Muslim Chaplain and joined West Midlands Ambulance Service as a volunteer to support us just over three years ago. Imam Asad said: “I wanted to offer help and support to all of the amazing staff who help protect and save the lives of others.
Staff sharing their joy and excitement after feeling that their spiritual needs have been acknowledged by the Faith and Spiritual Wellbeing Team is what I enjoy most about volunteering.
